Toyota Prado: Modern conqueror

Toyota Prado also boasts of a 4,0 litre petrol engine, 202kW of power at 5600r/min and 381Nm torque at 4400r/min. Its Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) allows your suspension to dynamically respond to the landscape, giving you more robust traction, enhanced stability, steering response, comfort and off-road control.

The formidable new front gets a unified design, with a more robust bumper featuring kick-up detailing on the lower corners and a skid plate-like design in the centre. The raised radiator grille, fender tops, and headlamps make for a bigger visual impact, while large openings on the grille allow for optimum cooling performance. The vertical inner grille keeps the classic Land Cruiser look with broad chrome-finished bars and slit-shaped openings for cooling.

A raised bumper and imposing 18inch wheels give the Prado an athletic and dynamic stance, complemented by colour-coded, illuminated, heated, power and retractable side mirrors. The view ahead is always clear as day with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), LED headlamps (VX models) and LED Auto High Beam (AHB) headlamps. The AHB system automatically switches between high and low beam for maximum visibility without worrying about headlight glare aimed at oncoming traffic.

The Prado adds another touch of the familiar with distinctive C-shaped combination lamps at the rear to complete a look of pure assertiveness Designed to give off a striking handcrafted and modern impression, this interior comes with more refined detailing, functionality and features than ever before. The driver can control every comfort, drive or off-road setting with ease from the redesigned, repositioned and refined central instrument panel with a new Optitron meter with 4.2-inch TFT display.

Your interior environment remains your ultimate comfort zone with a built-in cooler box, seat heaters (front and rear) and seat ventilation (driver and front passenger only) as well as automatic dual zone air conditioning. Kick back with electronically adjustable driver and passenger seats on all models, and additional driver-seat memory in VX and VX-L models. Keep your eyes comfortably on the road with a smart conveniently positioned Audio-Visual Navigation System (AVN), on VX and VX-L models only.

“And, enjoy every moment with a top-class audio system, on an enlarged 8-inch display audio with a tablet-like design and clear blue illumination, with 14 quality speakers (six speakers on TX models),” said Toyota. You can take cruise control to the next level with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) on the VX-L models. This technology maintains vehicle speed and also dynamically maintains a safe following gap between you and the vehicle in front of you, based on a selection of four cruise gaps.
