The Golf Day, which had participants from all across the country, was organised to raise funds to support charity and to set up the Sports Development Fund in Harare.
They were 23 teams that took part.
Speaking at a cocktail party hosted for the teams after the competition, the SRC vice-chairman Edward Siwela, thanked all the companies for supporting this worthy cause.
“Those who administer sport must do so in a professional manner, most important is the need to exercise good corporate governance” said Siwela.
Siwela also took the opportunity to highlight to the members some of the programmes that the SRC is running like the Community Sport Development Programme (CSDP), Youth Education through Sport (YES), Zimbabwe National Paralympic Games, and the Zimbabwe National Youth Games.
SRC corporate communications officer, Tirivashe Nheweyembwa, said the event was a huge success.
