Traffic Safety Council unveils Byo ambassadors

In an interview, managing director of Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, Obio Chinyere, said their motive as an organisation was to try and reduce road accidents in Zimbabwe through advocacy by these ambassadors.

“We decided to appoint these ambassadors in Bulawayo and Harare as the two cities have the highest volume of traffic. They will educate people on                   road safety so as to reduce carnage on our roads,” he said.

Chinyere said they chose to work with celebrities as they are role models in their communities.

The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe is going to organise workshops for the celebrities on how to address the public on traffic matters.
