A 26-YEAR-OLD man was brought to court for allegedly causing the death of another man who was ran over by a train.

Misias Madongorere was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi. He was advised to approach the High Court for bail application.

Misias will be back in court on February 13, pending finalisation of investigations.

Allegations are that sometime in November last year, Misias and his accomplices had a misunderstanding with the now deceased Langton Thandile.

It is alleged that Misias and his accomplices started assaulting Thandile with a baton stick and logs.

The State led by Essel Zinhiva said they severely assaulted Thandile and then dumped him on the railway line in Mabvuku.

The court heard that the now deceased was then crushed by a train since he could not move due to the assault.
