Treat for kids with special needs

He graced the sporting event that was hosted by Vimbainashe Learning Institute meant for children with intellectual disability and performed old skool gospel tracks with a fusion of his own songs which left behind a trail of cheers from the teachers, parents and children.

Schools present included Gateway, Mufakose, Homefields and Vimbainashe Learning Institute.
In between his performance, musical games were played and saw many youngsters doing some intricate breakdance moves and awarded them with CDs of his compilation songs.

Another highlight of the event was an exuberant performance by a student with intellectual disability from Vimbainashe who sang the most popular song in town “Tsviriyo” which brought all the students to their feet.

After identifying potential talent in the children, BaShupi promised the organisers of the event to help groom them.
Event organiser Sylvia Musasiwa, who is the head and founder of Vimbainashe Learning Centre, said such events boosted the egos of children with intellectual disability so they could freely express themselves. — CL Reporter.
