TREK FC cruised to a 11-0 demolition of Eastgate FC in a social football league match at Old Hararians on Sunday.
Trek FC only returned to playing, three months ago, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
They had beaten Rebels 6-4 and Chicago 4-3 before mauling Eastgate this week.
Tafara Chipando, one of the senior players in the team, said they were delighted with the result.
“We have now gained momentum as a team. We are really playing good, basic football.
“Our holding and passing game is proving difficult for opponents to contain us,” he said.
He added:
“We have now got good results that shows how serious we are.
“This coming weekend we want to continue with our winning routine.”
Eastgate FC coach, Pride Karimatsenga, said it was a difficult game for them as they were missing some of their key players, due to injuries.
“It’s unfortunate we were missing a number of key players due to injuries.
“But, we are keeping our heads high going into the next fixture,” he said.
