Apparently, Circus Night Club is the place where it happens be it urban grooves, kwaito, house and hip-hop.
The gig will be spiced up by the popular DJs Dee Nosh and L Roy and guest emcees Kharizma, Meltdown and Yung Loss. The combination of Dee Nosh and L Roy is a formidable one considering they have been deejaying for the last decade drawing huge crowds since their days at Stars Studio and now at Circus.
L Roy, well known for his mixes and high-energy performance on the decks, will be out to rock the revellers in between performances.
Expectations are high tonight that the gig will live up to its billing since it brings together some of Harare’s talented DJs and performers.
But the spotlight will be on Dongo, the youngster who has featured in a number of high- profile shows including corporate functions where he laid down the tracks just the way you like it.
He needs no introduction to those who love urban grooves. He sings about love and relationships reminding many of the legendary Keith Sweat.
The 27-year-old is basking in the glory of his latest video titled “Ndashamisika”.The refreshing video, directed by Bless Gatsi of Be Identified Productions, has had 4 000 views on YouTube since the first week of its release.
Besides, “Ndashamisika”, Trevor D, as his fans fondly call him, has other brilliant music videos such as “Ndozviita Sei”, “Takonana” , “Chokwadi” and “Mukoma”.
Like or hate him, Trevor D is one of talented urban grooves artistes. Kudzai Matondo of Circus Night Club said the gig was in support of local musicians.
“We have had such gigs before where we bring local acts to showcase their talent. We believe in Zimbabwean talent and what is only lacking is the exposure.
“So we urge fans to come in their numbers and be part of the growing urban grooves movement,” he said.
