Triangle beat Black Mambas

away draw against How Mine in a midweek fixture.

Before the Premiership took a two-week international break Triangle had also secured maximum point following a 2-0 win over Buffaloes.

Yesterday Gishon Ntini’s men seemed to be heading for a draw against the visiting police outfit but former Mwana Africa and Monomotapa man Daniel Kamunenga rose from the bench to grab a priceless winner seven minutes from time.

Mambas also arrived at Gibo with their tails up after beating Shabanie Mine 2-0 at Morris Depot last Wednesday but their spirits were depleted when Kamunenga found the goal that made the difference.

Ntini who had been under pressure when the results were not coming Triangle’s way was happy to have won in the first of back to back meetings with Mambas.

The outspoken former CAPS United and Shooting Stars coach said he now wanted his charges to maintain some consistency.

“It was a game of missed chances. But it is vital that we picked these points. We are desperately in need of points.  It was vital that we win this match as we are desperately in need of points. We are happy we have done very well in our last three matches. We want to keep on picking points and survive relegation,” said Ntini.
