A SECOND-HALF penalty by Marvellous Mukumba was enough for 10 man Triangle to collect maximum points against new boys Border Strikers in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Gibbo yesterday

The home side were forced to play the last 10 minutes with 10 men after Courage Denias was sent for an early shower after a second bookable offence.

Border Strikers are yet to register a win after round three of the Castle Lager Premiership matches and they have already faced two teams that finished in the top four last season, losing 1-0 to both champions Chicken Inn and Triangle.

It was another sad day in office for their nomadic gaffer Saul Chaminuka who lost 2-1 in the game that vanished hopes of survival at the same venue when he was in charge of the relegated Buffaloes last season.

And Chaminuka blamed his side’s latest defeat on referee Brighton Chimene who otherwise had a decent performance.

A fuming Chaminuka said: “The referee gave Triangle the game, that it is why when there are (international) tournaments we don’t have referees from Zimbabwe because of this kind of refereeing . . . He has given (Triangle) the goal on a silver platter.

“I don’t know what Yogi (Triangle coach David Mandigora) is going to tell his players because this is pure robbery.
