Triangle coach, Gishon Ntini, is confident of gaining promotion into the top-flight league next season.
“As I said before we are now dividing boys from men and this is the right time to assume leadership,” said Ntini.
“With the type of football we are playing I don’t see anyone stopping us from winning the championship.
“Hippo Valley played well but they couldn’t match the experience in our team and we are going to carry our form into our next matches.
“We just need to stay focused and continue doing the business,” said Ntini.
Hippo Valley had never lost a match this season and yesterday’s loss was their first after 18 rounds of play.
Hippo Valley have now dropped to third place and remain on 42 points while Triangle are now on 45 points.
The two teams had played a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.
