Triathlon team scheduled to leave for SA on Thursday

THE Triathlon Zimbabwe team to represent the country at the South African Youth Championships and Junior Africa Cup event is scheduled to leave on Thursday.

The two events are due to take place on Sunday at Maselspoort.

Posting on Facebook, national coach, Pamela Fulton, confirmed they will be leaving on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s competition.

“Our Triathlon Zimbabwe team departs this Thursday for Maselspoort, Bloemfontein to compete in the Youth SA Championships and junior Africa Cup event.

“This weekend was spend having fun ‘team building’ followed by our first Safeguarding awareness session. Today (Sunday) the athletes competed in their last preparation race, before travel.

“Congratulations to the traveling team, I’m super proud of you all and excited to be with you and watch you perform next weekend.

“Go team!”

Most of the youth team members are competing in the South African Championships for the first time.
