Besides the heatweaves summer comes with vibrant colours, easy to wear fabrics, fun print and the return of some classics. Summer is also a chance to flaunt some skin and that beautiful body.Today I will be giving you a few trends for summer that will cause waves from your look and give you that hot summer look.

1. The shirt dress: Pair the shirt dress with a pair of gladiator sandals either short or high heeled, and you are guaranteed to beat the heat in that look. Many shops have dress shirts in a variety of colours and fabrics. Jet stores have shirt dresses in chambray too.

2. Head wraps: Head wraps are such a trend this summer to turn all the bad hair days into top style days. You may want to cover up your whole head or leave your hair down, the choice is yours. Head wraps come in solid vibrant colours and floral prints. They will make you look hot this summer, and there are several ways of tying your head wrap that will make your look exciting and interesting.

2. Another trend that’s so cool for this summer is wearing luxe sports wear eg wearing joggers with, a sweat shirt or T-shirt and throwing on that flat cap and to complete this ensemble with a pair of plimsoll takkies, chucks, vans or even tomys

3. The gingham print is the freshest and hottest print this summer. You cannot go wrong by wearing, dresses, crop tops, pants, or even shirts in gingham print. Gingham is a light weight cotton fabric with that boxy or checked print. Yeah think of those bright kitchen curtains and you got it. It is so trendy and its in different vibrant colours for summer. Designers like Michael Kors (mk) showcased the gingham for their Summer/Spring 2015 collections and clearly people have accepted it. It is a classic print that has definitely hit a comeback on the fashion scene.

4. Ladies culottes are also back in vogue this summer, these wide-legged pants can give you that sophisticated look when you pair them up with cute stilettos.

5. Summer would not be summer without thigh high splits. These give off a summery easy look on flowy silk or chiffon floor length skirts. The high slit skirt can be dressed up or down depending on your lifestyle and the occasion.

6. The colour of this summer is yellow. You can make your own sunshine by incorporating this colour in ensemble. If yellow does not compliment your skin tone and you do not want it as the main garment then splash it as an accessory somewhere!!! White is also a cool colour to wear this summer, all white looks good all the time.

7. The jumpsuit is another garment to go for — if your body type allows it. Jumpsuits come in shorts and longs, in different fabrics and different prints. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on the look you want to create.

8. Dresses will always be a girls best friend, and this summer the frock to show off your femininity is the denim dress. The denim dress (chambray dress) will just give you that cool look this summer.

9. You cant go without a touch of femininity and sophistication this summer and the answer is pretty lace. Lace dresses, tops, pants, accessories with a hint of lace is all so in vogue this summer.

10. I would have not done any fashion justice if I did not mention the crop top. If you have been doing your sit ups religiously all winter long and your stomach looks as flat as a washboard, the crop top is your reward to showcase your hard work. Crop tops are so cool to wear and pair with almost anything.

Enjoy summer and let’s catch up next Saturday with the men’s summer trends for 2015!!!
