Trio granted bail

fraud.
Sabastian Kavhu (32) worked as an accountant for Fact Cover Engineering and Florida Sports Bar while Ryn Tanga (30) and Blessing Chidangwa were both employed as barmen at the sports bar.
The three were not formally charged when they appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Shane Kubonera.
They were remanded to June 20 on US$50 bail each.
Appearing for the State, Ms Svodai Kadivirire charged that sometime between September last year and March this year, Kavhu who was responsible for conducting a weekly stock-take connived with Tanga and Chidangwa to defraud their employer Mr Masimba Mdege.
It is alleged during stocktaking, Kavhu would inflate figures on the stock sheets purporting as if few items had been sold yet in actual fact they would have sold more, the prosecutor said.
The trio, it is alleged, would then calculate the difference before sharing the money among themselves.
Mr Mdege allegedly received a tip-off from one of his workers and made a police report leading to the trio’s arrest.
