The group, which is made up of Andifasi Banda and sisters Sithabile and Florence Ncube, aims to have a lasting impact with their album which they have been working on for years.
Triple T lead vocalist Sithabile said the album was meant to be the group’s breakthrough effort as they had been tirelessly trying to break into the music industry since 2002.
“We entered the music industry in 2002 and since then we have put a lot of effort into releasing an album even though our efforts have been fruitless until now,” she said.
Sithabile said people should look forward to the album as they were bringing a totally new sound and style to the music industry.
“Our style is totally different to what people are used to because we aim to change the music industry and not be changed by it,” she said.
Backing vocalist Florence said the group drew inspiration for their music from the likes of Mafikizolo and Malaika and the group’s ultimate ambition was to meet their role models in the flesh.
“We are inspired by Mafikizolo and Malaika and it is our hope that in the end we will meet and record with those guys as their music has laid the foundation for what we do,” she said.
Florence said the group was yet to make a video for the song and they were hoping to get popular Bulawayo dance group Iyasa to collaborate.
“We are hoping to have Iyasa as part of our video which would give further credibility to it and also boost the album’s visibility because Iyasa are a well known entity in the country,” she said.
The six track album will include the track Sesiphongwenze nje which the group said had been well received wherever they perform.
