Tripple B budget for Dulibadzimu Stadium revamp

Tripple B have already started their preparations for the season and are hoping to mount a strong championship challenge in the Zifa Central Region Division One Soccer League.
Underhill took Premiership action to Dulibadzimu Stadium in 2009 but there were concerns about the venue playing host to big games.
Some of the fears that were raised then were that there was no security for the players coming from the dressing rooms and the stadium wall was close to the field markings.
The pitch was also said to be uneven.
Tripple B which hoped to be promoted to the elite league hired experts to work on their home ground.
The company working on Dulibadzimu Stadium is the same one that upgraded FC Platinum’s Mandava Stadium.
Speaking during a tour of the facility, Tripple B sponsor Edward Kanyangu said by the time they start  the season, work at the stadium would have been completed.
He said their preparations for the season were underway and they would continue challenging for a Premiership slot.
“We accepted the Commercial Arbitration Centre verdict a long time ago and now our focus is on        building a strong team that will make us challenge for a Premiership post.
“This is why we are investing in Dulibadzimu Stadium so that when the time comes for us to play in the topflight we are ready,” he said.
The Beitbridge team lost its bid for the Premiership through the Arbitration Centre which ruled that     Hardbody were the legitimate winners of the league.
The Gweru side used a player who did not have a reverse international clearance in 14 matches.
They were docked 42 points for the offence but an appeals committee reversed the decision which was upheld by the Arbitration Centre leading to the busmen being confirmed league winners.
Kanyangu said the club was working with the council to upgrade Dulibadzimu Stadium.
“As Tripple B FC we sent our proposal to the council  to give our home venue a facelift and they accepted it. We are working on the turf, security fence as well as the dressing rooms while the council has already done a secure car park and they will also re-do the grandstand,” he said.
Kanyangu said council would also raise the stadium perimeter wall.
“Already, the council has erected a wall for the car park and at least 30 tonnes of lawn has been laid,” he said.
“Tshintsha Amagiya” as Tripple B is affectionately known,  has also drilled a borehole to  water the lawn.
Beitbridge Town Council administrator Mbongeleni Muleya said they were committed to upgrading the sporting facility.
“We are in partnership with Tripple B to give Dulibadzimu Stadium a facelift. Right now as you saw    they laid the lawn and as council we have improved  the parking area and we will also work on the    stadium perimeter walling as well as the grandstand,” Muleya said.
James Manja who is doing the landscaping at Dulibadzimu Stadium said the pitch was now level.
“We started working here on 3 January and one thing we realised was that where there was a lot of activity there was no lawn. We also realised that the ground was not even so we had to level it first before planting the lawn. Here we used kikuyu grass similar to the one at the National Sports Stadium and Mandava.
“Right now they can play here but I think we just need a week to monitor it,” said Manja.
According to Kanyangu, they are hoping to invite a top Premiership club for the official stadium opening in a fortnight.
“We have been assured by the guys working on the field that in two weeks time we can start playing and we would love to have a team like Highlanders, FC Platinum, Caps United, Dynamos or Hwange playing here,” said Kanyangu.
He said they were continuing with improving the stadium which would have been their home had they been promoted to the Premiership. He said theirs was ploughing back to the community through improving the facility.
