Truck driver risks losing job

A CROSS border truck driver risks losing his job after hiding his travel documents following a dispute over infidelity.

Epharage Marunge has since applied for a protection order at the Harare Civil Court against Rumbidzai Makoto, citing verbal and emotional abuse.

Marunge told the court his wife evicted him from their matrimonial bedroom on suspicion he had a girlfriend.

He claimed that after the misunderstanding, Makoto confiscated and hid his particulars.

Marunge said he was now at risk of losing his job since he desperately needed his documents.

“I don’t know what to do now, she is refusing with my truck keys and all work documents and that can cost me my job. She verbally abuses me and she threatened to poison my food, right now I am not even eating the food she cooks.

“I don’t have peace of mind, she also chased me out from our matrimonial bedroom,” he said

 Magistrate Sharon Mashavire granted a default judgment since the respondent did not attend court.
