A haulage truck ferrying wheat along the Bulawayo-Harare swerved and lost control resulting in the trailer landing on its side and spilling grain all over the road.
The haulage truck driver said, upon seeing another truck parked broken down on the road just after the 10km peg to Bulawayo he tried to pass it by encroaching on the oncoming lane. Upon doing so the front tyre together with the wheel hub broke off from the truck resulting in the driver losing control of the vehicle.
Fortunately a collision with an oncoming traffic was avoided.
