Dendera musician Tryson Chimbetu and Peter Moyo on Friday thrilled revellers at Newlife Night Club in Budiriro.
First to perform was Tryson who managed to keep the audience on their toes with his songs.Songs “Pahotera,” “Ndondo,” “Pane Asipo,” were among the songs that thrilled the fans.

He sampled another song titled “Vhura Door,” that showed his potential in the music industry.

As if that was not enough the musician belted his late uncle Simon Chimetu’s yesteryear hits to the delight of merrymakers.

Moyo joined him on stage for the popular “Tamba Sababa,” dance prompting other sungura musicians Romeo Gasa and Obvious Mutani that were in the crowd to also jump onto the stage.

They did Simon Chimbetu’s song “Saina,” together before leaving Moyo and his Utakataka Express to kick-start their slot.

Moyo took over the stage and gave a well-polished act.

The musician performed songs from his late father and his album “Mushonga Mukuru”.

Show organiser Fidelis Ngove said he was happy with the turn out of the people.

“These are upcoming artists and I told them to charge reasonable fares and people came in good numbers,” he said.

He said he was happy that they have managed to be on the venue on time and performed well.

“If they maintain these standards they will have a bright future and I think they should keep that standard,” he said.
