THE TRAFFIC Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) has received an ISO 9001:2015 certification from the Standards Association of Zimbabwe.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). In an interview, TSCZ managing director Mr Munesu Munodawafa said implementing ISO 9001:2015 can improve road safety.
“By implementing a QMS, TSCZ can enhance its processes, leading to more effective road safety initiatives and reduced accidents,” he said.
“ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates TSCZ’s commitment to quality and excellence, increasing its credibility with stakeholders. A QMS helps streamline processes, reducing waste and improving resource allocation.
“ISO 9001:2015 promotes data-driven decision-making, enabling TSCZ to make informed choices. The standard ensures TSCZ meets relevant regulatory requirements.”
Mr Munodawafa said the certification also ensured improved customer satisfaction by focusing on quality and TSCZ can enhance services, leading to increased customer satisfaction.
He also said that ISO 9001:2015 certification sets TSCZ apart from others in the industry.
“The standard encourages employee involvement, leading to increased motivation and productivity,” Mr Munodawafa said.
“ISO 9001:2015 promotes a culture of continuous improvement, driving TSCZ to strive for excellence. The certification is recognised globally, facilitating international collaborations and partnerships.
