A DETERMINED Tsholotsho Football Club enhanced their chances of promotion when they got the better of Plumtree Chiefs yesterday in a pulsating Zifa Southern Region Division One League encounter at White City Stadium, with one first half goal from Nixon Gama and two second half strikes from Edmore Chirambadare and substitute Kudzanai Machazani.

Tsholotsho announced their presence in as early as the third minute through a Gama tap inside the 12-yard area following a well taken free kick in the Chiefs half by Captain William Stima.

Plumtree Chiefs who had an average first half performance tried to keep the visitors at bay but their efforts to get a goal went begging despite having three corner kicks and a free kick just outside the box.

An elated Tsholotsho manager Edson Masilela applauded his charges and said they played according to the coach’s instructions.
On the other hand the Chief’s coach Nkosiyazi Ncube blamed mistakes made by his players to have cost them the maximum points in their backyard.
