PREMIERSHIP newboys Tsholotsho registered their second win of the season in style after beating WhaWha through a Lynoth Chikuhwa brace at Ascot yesterday. The visitors took the lead inside 20 minutes when Chikuhwa gained possession inside the box, after capitalising on some sloppy defending by Whawha, and rifled home from close range.
Chikuhwa completed his brace in the 57th minute after getting to the end of an Olient Ncube cross and headed home into the top right corner.
The visitors dominated play and were full value for their victory.
Whawha coach Lloyd Mutasa conceded that his side needed to lift their game if they were to remain in the top-flight league.
“We never played well today as we did not create any meaningful chances. We gave them easy goals and now we need to pull our socks and ensure we collect points at home,” he said. Lizwe Sweswe, the Tsholotsho gaffer, was full of praise of his lads.
“Like I have said before, we are a new team coming from Division One and what is needed is to instill confidence in these players so that they believe in themselves,” said Sweswe.
