Buffaloes . . . . . . . . .0HWANGE fired blanks and shared the spoils with an equally disjointed Buffaloes in this Castle Lager Premiership tie at the Colliery.
Buffaloes goalkeeper, Blessing Mwandimutsira, summoned all his reflexes to parry a blistering Evans Rusike volley out for a corner from close range in the fifth minute. The visitors’ only chance came in the 21st minute only for Roy Mwenga to direct his effort high and wide after being cleverly fed by Juwakinyu Katsigu.

The coalminers’ lack of luck in front of goal again came to the fore 10 minutes from time after Gilbert Zulu’s grounder crashed against the upright with Mwandimutsira diving in vain.

Hwange stand-in coach, Chenjerai Dube, said his boys did not play to instructions. “We were supposed to be patient throughout but we failed to break down the visitors’ defence.” he said.

His counterpart, Joseph “Shabba” Tangaringofa, was happy to pick a point away from home.

“My team played well and I don’t have any complaints over their performance. We will continue fighting,” he said.
