KUWADZANA-BASED hair stylist and make-up artist, Annalisa Tsoro, w alked away US$1500 richer after emerging as the best hairstylist at the Eva Hairshow 2022 edition.
The event, which was held on Saturday night at the Venue in Avondale, saw different hairstylists and make-up designers competing for the biggest prize.
However, Annalisa outwitted the other nine participants.
Running under the theme, “Celebrating Talent, Creativity and Hard Work”, the event returned to the scene after a two-year pause due to Covid-19.
Annalisa (29) said the triumph came as a surprise.
“I am really surprised but too excited at the same time. I can’t believe I have made it.
“I started hairstyling last year in March after leaving my post as a librarian at Kuwadzana High School.
“Since I am not a breadwinner, I will take some of the proceeds to charity,” she said.
The founder of the show, Sonia Park, who is the Eva Show CEO, said it’s all about empowering each other.
“It’s all about the people, elevating each other.
“We had stopped due to Covid-19 and we are happy to bring this initiative back.
“We want everyone to be involved and embracing all as well as supporting each other.
“I am glad to share the rebrand of this show after two years away. It is not about Eva but supporting one another,” she said.
Esther Kanengoni came second and walked away with US$1000 while Natasha Chiredzo got US$500 for the third prize.
