He made the threats during the launch of his party’s national policy conference held in Harare over the weekend.
“The next election is not going to be about who dominates the media space with much hate speech, derogatory statements, dishonesty claims and self enrichment disguised as empowerment.
“You cannot have a newspaper with six articles saying Tsvangirai this and Tsvangirai that. Every day! Regai vakadaro.
“But musi umwe gava richadambura musungo.
“That kind of a media has no future in a democratic Zimbabwe. I want to tell you this. Muchadya izvozvo.
“The next election is going to be about a party and a leader who has ideas that can address challenges facing the people of Zimbabwe,” said Mr Tsvangirai.
He further alleged that there were others who were pursuing what he termed “chaos scenarios”.
He said such people were shouting on top of their voices swearing that they would not do certain things if his party won elections.
“There are those who are shouting on top of their voices that never we will allow this and that to happen.
“Let them say that but that will not be the will of the people,” he said.
Mr Tsvangirai went on to claim that the constitution making process was a victory for his MDC-T.
He said it was one of his party’s principles to ensure that the country had a new constitution before it had a new Government.
The policy conference went off rails after one of the speakers during closed sessions Dr Ibbo Mandaza failed to pitch up.
It was not clear as to why Dr Mandaza failed to attend the meeting.
Dr Mandaza according to the programme was expected to chair a meeting on review of the economic and infrastructure clusters.
