Tuku heads to the Lowveld

CELEBRATED music guru Oliver Mtukudzi affectedly known as Tuku in showbiz, will be in Chiredzi (tomorrow) Saturday at a fundraising dinner for the first episode of Chiredzi Arts Festival, which runs from August 28 to 30. The dinner will be held at Chiredzi Civic Centre.

The festival which runs under the theme: “Let it play,” is a brainchild of Lowveld Community Development Trust which seeks to empower artistes from across the country through collaborations and other developmental initiatives. The trust has since partnered with Chiredzi Town Council.

According to Masimba Hove, the trust’s marketing manager, the festival shall remain an annual three-day arts event in the South-east Lowveld of Zimbabwe. Tickets for the dinner are selling from $20.
