Dubbed the “Miller Night”, the concert will see the “Tozeza Baba” hitmaker serenading his fans with a medley of hits from “Ndakuvara”, “Hear Me Lord”, “Neria” to “Mbabvu Yangu”.
These are some of the songs that music lovers can expect to hear from the master of katekwe. Highlights of the evening will include a performance by DJ Fleva and the Apama Dance Group, who are arguably one of the most sought after groups on the dance circuit at the moment, starting at 8pm. Thereafter it’s Tuku music galore.
This is not the first time that Tuku has staged a solo concert and all his previous gigs have been well received by fans and besides being interactive, the granddad of
Zimbabwean music also invites the audience to request their favourite songs.
According to Henry Jaji, the show organiser, Tuku will perform his unplugged songs so that the music is not distorted by the use of amplifiers but remain acoustic.
“Tuku is well known for his top drawer performances whenever he is on stage, he has magical fingers, a well-controlled voice and he exudes cool confidence.
“This show is the only thing that is yet to be tried this festive season.
“Tuku assured me that the only way that his fans get value for their money was to get them as close to their star as possible in an ‘intimate’ environment,” he said.
Jaji urged fans to come and witness the unexpected as is always the case with Tuku.
