Majaivana, who will represent the old skool music, promised to take revellers down memory lane.
“I am proud and honoured to be performing along with the two music giants who will help me to take fans back to the old skool music,” he said.
Tuku wil be making his first appearance in Gweru after a long absence from the Midlands capital, following a series of tours he had after his 60th birthday last year in September.
It would be back to basics, when he serenade his legion of fans with a series of hits from his large discography.
Meanwhile, Alick Macheso and Progress Chipfumo will be in Ruwa at Mtangaz Hideout on Sunday. The two musicians have been sharing the stage since the start of the year.
The beauty about this gig is that both artistes are on top of their game.
Macheso said he takes every show seriously.
“This is what I am called to do. But I wish it was really paying like in other countries. I heard that P Square bought a private jet and beautiful houses in Florida. The boys started recently and I wish it was the same here,” he said.
The sungura musician said fans should expect the unexpected.
“I am always full of surprises. Each time I perform I just ask myself what new thing can I do for my fans,” he said.
Chipfumo has also upped his game and recently he left fans asking for more when he performed at Jongwe Corner.
Fresh from winning big at the National Arts Merit Awards Suluman Chimbetu and his Orchestra Dendera Kings will host a family gig at Megga 1 Bar in Graniteside. The “Sean Timba” hitmaker will be joined by Jah Prayzah of the “Gochi Gochi” fame.
The two musicians are soaring and together they have bagged six awards in the last two months. The musicians have evolved to become the next big thing in Zimbabwe.
At the University of Zimbabwe, aspiring dancers will converge for this year’s Umoja auditions tomorrow.
The organisers say the auditions are still open and they want as many artistes as possible.
