TUTS gets his present

ARTHUR “TUTS” Tutani has been honoured with a Toyota Mark X by Simba Bhora president, Simba “Buju” Ndoro for guiding the Shamva side into the Castle lager Premiership.

He also received this prize with an unspecified cash gift.

Ndoro has fulfilled the promise he made earlier this year.

It was Tutani’s third championship in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer league.

The former Black Rhinos coach, hailed Ndoro for this recognition.

“I want to thank Ndoro for recognising me with this gift, it’s something that never crossed my mind that I would get something like this.

“I have worked with many bosses in my coaching career but he is just a different person when it comes to honoring his word.

“He fulfilled everything which he said he promised last season and, to me, this car comes as a bonus considering all the things which he has done” said Tutani.

He made way for Tonderai Ndiraya as the club head coach and he is now the team’s second assistant due to his lack of the required CAF badge.

Ndoro said he owes his success to Tutani.

“He is someone who I don’t take for granted, I rate him highly and I also respect his honesty.

“We have known each other for long time and he was the first person that came into my mind when I decided to restart this project and he did justice to my dream.

“It wasn’t an easy road but Tutani showed his class, I’m forever grateful and I don’t mean to say this what he is worth because he deserves more than this,” said Ndoro.

Ndoro also reiterated that he has not forgotten the promise he made to the late Barnabas Mushunje’s family at his burial in Mutare.

“Things have not turned out just how we had predicted, I wanted our first pre-season game to be played at Wadzanai and handover the gate proceedings to Mushunje’s wife and children.

“But, I’m going to make sure that we arrange a friendly match during the mid-season break with one of the league’s big clubs so that we can assist his family.

“It’s my wish to have Mushunje’s memorial match as our first game at Wadzanai and I believe that’s the only way I can repay his contributions for this club.

Mushunje died in a car accident last year, on his return to the club’s base from the capital.

And, he left behind his wife and two children.
