TWO unidentified bodies were discovered recently in different parts of Bulawayo.
Police have called on families who may have missing relatives to come forward and help in identifying the deceased persons.
According to Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, the first body was discovered on June 21, 2026, lying on the side of the road at the corner of Jason Moyo Street and 3rd Avenue, Bulawayo.
“The now deceased is a male adult of approximately 40 years. He is approximately 1,7 metres tall, medium built, black in complexion, with short hair and a long face,” said Insp Msebele.
She said the man was wearing black and white sneakers, a white track bottom underneath two black trousers, a white T-shirt, two black jackets and a black hat written ‘Relay Jean 1986’ at the front.
The second case involves a body discovered on July 17, 2026, at around 1.30pm in a bushy area in Newton West, Bulawayo.
Inspector Msebele said a 30-year-old man from Tshabalala was on his way to prayers when he came across the body and reported the matter to police.
“The male adult was going for prayers in the bushy area in Newton West, Bulawayo. On his way, he saw the body of the now deceased hanging from a tree and reported the matter to police,” she said.
The deceased was found wearing a grey jacket, blue jean trousers, a black belt and white and black sneakers, while a grey cap was found in the grass near the body.
