Two men killed in hit-and-run accidents

Two men aged 38 and 50 were killed in separate hit-and-run road accidents in Harare over the weekend.
The police have launched a manhunt for the motorists.

One of the incidents occurred in Glen Norah while the other occurred in Mabelreign on Sunday.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “The ZRP is investigating a fatal hit and run road traffic accident which occurred on July 7, 2024 along Highglen Road, Glen Norah.

“A man aged 38 was killed after being hit by an unknown motorist who did not stop after the accident.

“In another fatal hit and run road traffic accident, a man aged 50 died on the spot after being hit by an unidentified motorist at the intersection of Makumbe Drive and Kirkman Road, Mabelreign, on the same day at around 2340 hours.”
