Two Kushinga Phikelela graduates were, last Friday, awarded a plot each for being the overall best graduates and outstanding students of the agricultural college.

The college’s 29th graduation was held at Kushinga Phikelela Agriculture College campus in Marondera. Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Fisheries and Rural Development Dr Anxious Masuka presided over the ceremony.

The two graduates who received the plots from Government are Honest Mapomho and Calisto Tanyanyiwa.

In an interview after receiving the plots, Mapomho thanked the Government for what he said was a gift of life.

“It’s true that hard work pays. Let me thank the Government through this Ministry for this prize. I never expected it. My parents are even happier.

“I am happy that Government is rewarding me for my hard work. I will continue to work hard and contribute to national economic growth through agricultural activities.”
