The two-timing Antony Farai Magama had pleaded not guilty to defrauding his lovers, Ms Audrey Karemba and Ms Pamela Tavaya but was convicted by Mrs Msipa.
Magama will, however, serve two years with hard labour after 12 months were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
The other 12 months were suspended on condition that he pays restitution of $4 420 to his two girlfriends.
For the State, Mr Bonface Balamanja told the court that on 17 January this year, Magama who was simultaneously in a relationship with both Ms Karemba and Ms Tavaya took a Toyota Harrier registration number ABP 5230 belonging to Ms Karemba.
Mr Balamanja said when he took the vehicle, Magama lied to Ms Karemba that he wanted to attend a job interview in Harare on the same day but instead drove to his other girlfriend, Ms Tavaya’s place in Daylsford suburb.
At Ms Tavaya’s place, Magama pretended as if the vehicle was his and at times gave her the liberty to go about driving the motor vehicle.
Mr Balamanja said Magama went on to take Ms Tavaya’s $2 500 that she kept in her bedroom and spent part of the money with her.
He said Ms Tavaya was not aware that Magama was spending her cash on her.
Mr Balamanja said Magama, who was still holding on to Ms Karemba’s vehicle then drove to Harare to meet another woman.
He said it was during Magama’s absence that Ms Tavaya realised that her money was missing.
The court heard that the women had been promised marriage by their two- timing boyfriend.
The women then teamed up against Magama after realising that he had been double-crossing them.
Mr Balamanja said it was during the two’s meeting that they also discovered that they were all duped of their laptops by Magama.
The two then reported the matter to the police leading to Magama’s arrest.
The value of stolen property was valued at $4 420.
