TYNWALD Sunset Villas housing project, comprising 120 semi-detached cluster houses, is almost complete.
The units, which are expected to provide a comfortable, safe and secure living environment for residents, are about 70 percent complete, as basic features are already in place.
The project was funded by the National Building Society (NBS), in partnership with Naidine (Pvt) Limited and will provide modern and smart features.
NBS managing director, Tapera Mushoriwa, said the first phase of the project comprises 42 units.
“Phase 2, which has the remainder of units, should be completed by the end of April 2023.
“We are mindful of the fact that residents need access to affordable housing and we should make this dream a reality.
“It is not a task that we can accomplish alone, thus, partnerships and collaborative efforts are pivotal and have inspired the theme chosen for this event, which is ‘Triple-P or Public-Private Partnerships’.”
He said the launch of Sunset Villas was not the end, but just the beginning of more similar projects.
“It relates to empowered beneficiaries, residents, and communities, as well as economic transformation, innovation within the human settlements space and progress in our national agenda.
“While NBS is on a transformative journey that will see us achieving tremendous growth, we remain steadfast in fulfilling our mandate of housing delivery,” he said.
