United Arab Emirates leading buyers for fresh fruits, vegetables, and processed foods are expected in the country next week for engagements with local companies during the Zimbabwe-UAE Business Forum that will run from August 6 to 8 in Harare.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and ZimTrade, the national trade development and promotion organisation, is facilitating the visit.

“This event will bring together 14 buyers from the UAE who are specifically interested in fresh fruits and vegetables, tea, coffee, and other processed foods,” reads a statement from ZimTrade.

“The forum aims to foster collaboration, facilitate networking, and promote business linkages between the two nations, ultimately contributing to the economic growth of Zimbabwe.

“With the UAE being a major hub for international trade, this forum presents an opportune moment for Zimbabwean exporters to tap into a diverse and affluent market.”

UAE has a growing consumer preference for specialty teas and coffees, which presents export opportunities for Zimbabwe’s tea and coffee industry that has gained recognition for its exceptional quality and unique flavours.

The UAE buyers will also visit on companies in the Eastern Highlands.
