United Family International Church led by Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa has launched its own 24-hour television channel.
The channel, called Christ tv.co, is now available on free-to-air decoders as well as the internet. The Christian television channel went on air on October 18 this year.
UFIC spokesperson Pastor Prime Kufakunesu described the channel as the best mode of evangelising globally.

He said the channel was influenced by the growing number of visitors, both local and international, to the church.
“We believe this is the quickest way of reaching out to many souls. We are having an increase of regular international visitors in every service from as far as Ukraine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, the United Kingdom and Australia. Not to be left out are our own neighbouring countries like Botswana and Malawi,” he said.

Pastor Kufakunesu said thousands of people were attending every service while others fail due to other commitments.
The channel’s launch, Pastor Kufakunesu said, would make it easier for the people who miss service.
Various programmes have been lined up to cater for all age groups especially gospel musicians.

“We are still to add more programmes for kids, teenagers and adults. Basically, the programmes dwell much on our daily living. Our content will focus more on the local issues with most of the sermons being conducted in Shona. We will be playing both local and international gospel music,” he said.

The Christ tv.co frequency is 12722, the symbol rate is 26657 while the polarisation is horizontal.
UFIC members were excited over the latest initiative.

“I am so excited about Christ tv.co channel which is likely to be a delivering device to many nations through the sermons by Prophet Makandiwa,” said John Lymon.

Patronella Vambe added: “I was waiting for this to happen, so far I am enjoying the programmes and I believe it will attract thousands of visitors into the ministry.”

Christ tv.co is the latest religious channel from Zimbabwe to broadcast on free-to-air decoders joining other established channels such as Miracle TV by Prophet Uebert Angel of Spirit Embassy as well as Ezekiel TV by Apostle Ezekiel Guti of Zaoga FIF.
