UK fugitive Ndodana Tshuma abandons bail in firearm case in South Africa

UK fugitive Ndodana Tshuma has abandoned bail in a case in which he is accused of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

This, after the State confirmed that he was an fugitive.

The 46-year-old was arrested on 10 July after the South African Police Service received a request from UK authorities to assist in tracing him.

It is alleged that between 2 July and 8 July, Tshuma murdered his wife, Nothabo Tshuma, and his two children, Natalie and Nala Tshuma, in Bedford, Bedfordshire, before fleeing to South Africa.

He appeared in court on the firearm charges on Wednesday and was due to make another appearance in the dock in connection with his potential extradition later in the day.
