As they embraced an opportunity that will improve their approach and concepts for life, the Umahlekisa Entertainment Company had an exhibition at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) recently, an opportunity that was granted to them by the Youth Council of Zimbabwe.
Getting the platform to exhibit at ZITF brought in a lot of knowledge for Umahlekisa Entertainment Company as it gave them a highlight on how to deal with compliance issues as spoken word artistes. It also gave them the rightful channels to approach when they want to showcase their spoken word talent, an insight that would take them to greater heights and make their brand bigger.
Having to exhibit at ZITF, Umahlekisa expressed to the public that comedy is important as any other artistic talent and that people should appreciate it and nurture it to be something embraced in our communities.
In an interview with Sunday Life, Ntando Van Moyo who is the founder of Umahlekisa Entertainment said he was grateful for the Zimbabwe Youth Council for facilitating the exhibition.
“As Umahlekisa Entertainment Company, getting the platform to exhibit at ZITF for the first time was a good learning experience for us and also an opportunity to network with the international business community.
It came as an eye-opener that there are exchanges in the trade that we have been lacking and that we have many opportunities to link with embassies, as well other businesses who might want to use our art form for their company brands and promotions,” he said.
