‘Uncle speaks about my death’

A Harare woman yesterday said she is living in fear due to her uncle, who is threatening to kill her stating a specific date and time she will die.

Angela Mutundu bared her soul before Harare magistrate Tamara Chibindi where she sought a protection order against her uncle, Lovemore Zhanda.

The magistrate granted the protection order and ordered Zhanda not to insult or threaten his niece.

“He is my uncle, when he visited my homestead, we had a misunderstanding and that is when he started threatening me with death.

“He also insults me and disturbs my peace and I am now living in fear because he even gives me dates on which he says I am going to die,” she said.

Responding, Zhanda told the court that he was not opposed to the application.

“I do not have problems and I am not opposing it,” he said.
