UNIT FAIRBRIDGE have vowed to disappoint champions Archers who are a victory away from making history by finishing the season unbeaten. The two sides clash in a Bulawayo Metropolitan Darts League match tonight. Archers were crowned champions a fortnight ago with three games to spare.
Support Unit captain Joshua Jabangwe said Archers should expect a tough match as they won’t get a win on a silver platter.
“They must expect to lose, they cannot finish the season unbeaten, we won’t allow that,” he said.
Jabangwe is pinning hopes on Jimmy Magwai and Tapela Maringa to repeat their heroics from last month when they beat second-placed Railstars.
Archers captain Enerst “Maphepha” Sibanda was on cloud nine after scooping their first ever title.
“I have won the title with Highlanders Darts Club and Highlanders Football Club and I am so happy that I have won it again in darts,” said Sibanda.
He insisted that they want to finish the season in style and that they would take the game against Unit Fairbridge seriously.
Archers’ outstanding players this season were Albert Tawanda, Nkululeko Ncube and Tafadzwa Mtomba.
Meanwhile, Railstars take on Maison Nic as ZRP Bulawayo clash with Wisewaters while Old Nic will clash with CAAZ.
