UNITED Bulawayo Hospital (UBH) is set to host a breast cancer symposium from 22 to 24 July to support healthcare practitioners in dealing with breast cancer.
Chief Medical Officer of United Bulawayo Hospitals Dr William Busumani said the event was aimed at lessening the breast cancer menace.
“We are delighted to inform you of the institutional efforts we are making to curtail the menace of breast cancer in the country. The second Bulawayo Breast Cancer Symposium scheduled for 22 to 24 July aims to strengthen the capabilities of healthcare practitioners in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. We are expecting around 100 participants from sub-Saharan African countries. The faculty comprises specialists from Zimbabwe, different parts of Africa, and as far afield as the United Kingdom and the United States,” said Dr Busumani.
Dr Busumani said they were requesting some sponsorship to make the event a success.
“We are kindly requesting sponsorship to fund some aspects of the event, as outlined in the attached symposium budget document. Any contribution towards the item will be greatly appreciated. In appreciation of your sponsorship, your company can exhibit at the symposium to showcase your products and services,” he said.
Dr Busumani said they have different package categories that entail the platinum, diamond, gold, silver and bronze categories.
“The platinum package is US$ 3,000 and above, it includes a free exhibition table, two people, a 10-minute slot presentation on 22 or 23 July, logo placement in the programme, placement of marketing material, scientific meeting venue, and access to delegates database.
“The diamond package is US$2 000 and it offers a free exhibition table, two people, a five-minute presentation on 22 or 23 July, logo placement, placement of marketing material scientific meeting venue, and access to participants’ database
“The gold package is US$1 500 and this includes a free exhibition table, log placement in the programme, placement of marketing material at the scientific meeting, and access to delegates’ database,” said Dr Busumani.
He added that the other two packages were the silver and the bronze packages.
“The silver package is US$1000 and it offers a reduced exhibition table, one person, logo placement in the programme, placement of marketing material at the scientific meeting and access to delegates’ database
“The bronze package is US$500 and includes logo placement, placement of marketing material at the scientific meeting and access to delegates’ databases,” said Dr Busumani.
