United want CR7 back

LONDON. – Manchester United are reportedly ready to break the bank to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. Rumours have been rife in recent years that Ronaldo could return to Manchester United as he reaches the latter part of his career. The 33-year-old has apparently been asking for a pay rise at Real Madrid to try and take his earnings in line with that of Barcelona rival Lionel Messi.

However, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has stood firm on his valuation of the Portugal international.

But Jose Mourinho and United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward are said to have devised a plan to bring Ronaldo back to the Premier League.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the Red Devils will offer the forward €30million-a-year (£26m).

It is said that United’s primary sponsors Chevrolet will help to make up a big chunk of the fee in exchange for advertisement. – The Daily Express
