Unity Cup is a reality check for Zimbabwe: Munetsi

Online Reporter

WARRIORS midfielder Marshall Munetsi feels that the on-going Unity Cup tournament in London, England, is a key reality check, highlighting this will help Zimbabwe realise how much work needs to be done to ensure the country’s senior football team is competitive enough on the big stage.

Munetsi also praised the team’s effort in their 2-0 semi-final defeat by Nigeria.

He said the Warriors’ new boys showed a great desire to win.

He also lauded ZIFA for ensuring the Warriors utilise every opportunity they get to have a run out, arguing this will ensure adequate preparedness for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
