Police in Beitbridge have arrested two men involved in gun-related crime.
The first suspect was caught by a mob soon after robbing a local businesswoman at gunpoint in Khwalu 1 Suburb on Sunday evening.
His accomplice who was armed escaped with the money and firearm, leaving the first suspect at the mercy of those who had caught him.
They took him to the police.
Police officer commanding Beitbridge District, Chief Superintendent Melusi Ncube said in another case, they arrested an unlawful entry suspect and later discovered that he was armed with a pistol.
The suspect was cornered by police detectives in the town’s central business district.
“Investigations into both cases are in progress,” he said.
