ST Mathias Tsonzo High Under 17 Class of 2025 bowed out the national finals after being edged by group winners Prince Edward on goal difference.

The school head Humphrey Mutumwa told Post Sport that: “Our first match against Mpopoma ended in a one all draw. We lost our second match to Chipindura High 2-0. We then beat Prince Edward 1-0. We also demolished Wanganuwi 5-1, but unfortunately we are not progressing on goal aggregate.”

Their group stage performance, in which they outplayed Wanganuwi by a wide margin as well as beat eventual group winners and powerhouse PE, was not bad at all.

Such was the impressive determination with which the Mutasa learning institution, first timers at this level of the competition, approached the contest.
