MANICALAND is set for a high-energy long weekend as various entertainment spots come alive to celebrate National Heroes and Defence Forces holidays.
From Friday to Tuesday, a fusion of old and new-school throwbacks and beats will dominate pubs and entertainment joints across the province.
Here is a round-up of what is happening where:
Holiday Inn
The weekend kicks off tonight at the Foresters Bar, where DJ Spy will headline the Unwind and Kick Off the Weekend party.
Starting from 6pm till late, DJ Spy is expected to deliver a vibrant mix of old and new school tunes, setting the tone for the long weekend.
FC Lounge
The joint joins the Heroes Day festivities with an exciting entertainment lineup running through the weekend. The venue promises a feel-good atmosphere where patrons can enjoy a variety of sounds curated by local selected DJs.
Bar Code
Tonight, a team of young and talented DJs — Stylez, Nash, Marvel and Meek — will take turns behind the decks at this upscale nightspot. Their energy will carry over into Saturday and Sunday, offering patrons a lively experience with a diverse musical selection spanning across genres and eras.
Chitsa and Liquids
It’s Freaky Friday, Party Time Saturday, and Old School Sunday Chills at the joint, where DJs Stixxie, Popinjo and Tawaz will headline the action.
The long weekend celebration promises an exciting mix of new and classic hits in honour of Heroes Day on Tuesday, with an atmosphere built for true party lovers.
The Don
The joint will also be buzzing throughout the weekend. DJs Yala and Mshez are tasked with keeping the crowd moving with new school beats on Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, they will shift gears and treat guests to a nostalgic ride through old school anthems, perfect for wrapping up the festivities.
The Breeze
Entertainment kicks off tonight from 8pm with a rotation of selected DJs heating up the decks. On Saturday, a seasoned sound crew will take over to deliver a solid old school.
Sakubva Police Camp
The party shifts to the sports field on Sunday, where selected DJs will entertain social soccer lovers attending a much-anticipated match between Scotland Manicaland Chapter and Mbare Football Club. With music and football on offer, the venue is expected to draw large crowds for a spirited community celebration.
Club Mandisa
The joint will turn up the heat on Saturday with a Heroes Day celebration party headlined by 16 vibrant vixens in the VIP section. DJs Smokey, Nasty, Yeezy, and Brooklyn will take charge of the decks throughout the night and into Sunday.
Madziro
DJ Candyman entertains families at the open-air joint situated along Mutare-Chimanimani Highway tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. He will belt out a mixed bag of old and new school music starting from 2pm each day.
