Assembly in August.
Zimbabwe and Zambia in 2011 won the bid to co-host the event in Victoria Falls and Livingstone respectively.

Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee Retired Colonel Christian Katsande yesterday said the technical team would arrive in Zimbabwe on Monday.

“The UNWTO team will arrive in Harare on January 14, 2013 and  hold meetings with authorities and senior Government officials on January 15 before proceeding to Victoria Falls to inspect the facilities             due to be used for co-hosting the even.”
He said the team would proceed to Zambia on January 17.

“They will also hold meetings with authorities and officials (they will) have a tour of facilities before departing for Madrid, Spain on January 19,” he said.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Walter Mzembi last week said the visit would be a prelude to a final report to be presented in Serbia.

Minister Mzembi would visit Spain this month to finalise the programme for the UNWTO general assembly.
