UPDATED: 10 years in jail for US$19 000 robbery

A MAN from Filabusi who was part of a seven-man gang that attacked a Filabusi-based businessman armed with four pistols and got away with US$19 000, R72 000, RTGS$14 000 and electrical gadgets worth $10 000, has been jailed for 10 years. Chargeman Ndlovu (23) was convicted on his own plea of guilty to armed robbery when he appeared before Gwanda regional magistrate, Mr Mark Dzira. 

He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and two years were suspended on condition that he does not commit a similar offence within the next five years. – @DubeMatutu
