Upsets in the ZRP Bulawayo Province inter-stations soccer league

As the ZRP Bulawayo Province Inter-Stations Soccer League entered match day 26, there were upsets across town, some teams were on cloud nine with some on the receiving end.

Mnanyewe brace sinks Luveve

It needed a spirited performance from the man of the match Mhlengi Ndlovu who provided a hat trick of assists and a goal for Magwegwe to beat Luveve 4-0. Other goals were scored by Tanaka Manyewe who scored a brace and Tongai Shoko the fourth.

PHQ beat Westcom

It never rains but pours for once a formidable side, Westcom who were 5-0 losers to Police Headquarters. The administrators scored through a brace by Emmanuel Zhou and a goal each from Handsome Mamenya, Terrence Makwamure and Blessing Shumbairerwa.

Pumula edge Sauerspark

The race for the top four finish took yet another twist, with SauersPark squandering the chance of maintaining their second position when they lost 2-1 at Zimbabwe Saints Clubhouse. The away team scored through Witness Nyathi and the diminutive slippery winger Isaac Mufara scored for Pumula with Wellington Manjoro on target for SauersPark.

Donnington shock Nkulumane

After the fulltime whistle, Nkulumane still could not believe they had lost to Donnington. This was after they had re-discovered their form. Loveson Bimbi broke the hearts of Nkulumane faithfuls with the only goal of the match that earned them a win.

Mzilikazi lose at home

Tshabalala FC put their troubles aside for a while and concentrated on the game played at Nguboyenja ground and indeed they came good. After being docked off 12 points, they surely needed a win which they did in style. A brace from the man of the match Samuel Chiwashira was all that they needed. Cosmas Malizani  scored Mzilikazi’s only goal.

Cowdray Park beat Njube

The high-flying Njube aircraft was finally gunned down by Cowdray Park’s leading goal scorer Gcinithemba Dube’s solitary strike. During his absence, Cowdray Park struggled and was everyone’s whipping boy every Wednesday.

Byo Central goes second on the log

Inspired by a 2-0 win over Traffic, the CBD Boys moved to second position with goals from Clyvin Ncube and speed merchant Simon Fararira.

Khumalo gives Entumbane stern test

The defending champions Entumbane stretched their unbeaten run though they had to dig down into their pockets to register a 3-2 win over the stubborn Khumalo. Khumalo were the underdogs going into this match, Bestian Mukono Jnr, Frank Shumba and Trymore Sibanda scored a goal each for Entumbane. Witness Ngwenya and Elliot Marunga scored for Khumalo FC.

CID defeat Hillside

The Detectives have finally put their house in order and are registering crucial wins. This past Wednesday was no exception when they beat the struggling Hillside 2-1.
