SADNEY Urikhob scored in only his second appearance for Scottland at Rufaro yesterday but those he left behind at Dynamos have now streched their barren run, without a league goal, to TEN hours.
The Namibian forward scored the insurance goal, in the dying moments of the Scotts battle against CAPS United, as the newboys shot to the top of the Castle Lager Premiership table.
Scottland won 2-0 and they are the only club in the PSL with a 100 percent record and they are yet to concede a goal in their first two matches,
Urikhob has appeared in both matches as a substitute.
He is the only man to score for Dynamos in the past TEN hours of league action going back to November 3 last year.
That was the day when Emmnauel Ziocha and Valentine Kadonzvo scored twice within the first 22 minutes as DeMbare beat FC Platinum 2-0 at Rufaro to all but end the championship dreams of Norman Mapeza and his men.
Kadonzvo scored the insurance goal in the 22nd minute.
And, that marked the last time a Zimbabwean player was on the scoresheet for the Glamour Boys, in a league match, in the last 608 minutes of action.
DeMbare did not score in the next three league games against ZPC Kariba (0-0), Manica Diamonds (0-0) and Ngezi Platinum Stars (0-2) at Baobab.
Urikhob then scored for them in their final league game of the season in a 1-2 defeat at the hands of GreenFuel in Chisumbanje.
The Namibian left DeMbare and moved to newboys Scottland during the off-season.
This means that among those who are still part of the Glamour Boys group of players, none of them has scored a league goal for this club in the past TEN hours eight minutes.
Lloyd “MaBlanyo” Chigowe’s men opened their new campaign with a goalless draw against ZPC Kariba at Rufaro on Sunday.
They were then held to a goalless draw by Herentals at Rufaro on Saturday. DeMbare were the only members of the Big Three clubs, which include Highlanders and CAPS United, who failed to score more than 30 goals in the league last season.
DeMbare scored 29 league goals in 34 matches while Bosso scored 43 goals and the Green Machine scored 38 goals. The Glamour Boys are one of five clubs, including Yadah, Simba Bhora, ZPC Kariba and Chicken Inn, who are yet to score a goal this season.
All the PSL newboys — Scottland, MWOS, Triangle and KweKwe United — have scored, at least a goal, in their two games.
