REAL estate development company, Thaton Property, is on course to complete its US$16 million 2 267 Lifestyle Estate in the upmarket suburb of Glen Lorne, Harare, by the end of 2025, as part of its thrust to provide high-end modern accommodation in Zimbabwe.
Currently under construction, the 2 267 Lifestyle Estate is a full-service community comprising 82 modern apartments.
Situated near Gletwyn Dam, the development aims to become one of Zimbabwe’s green-rated residential projects, offering residents a balance between modern luxury and natural serenity.
The brains behind the initiative is Thaton Property executive chairman, Mr Ben Nyaumwe, a prominent businessman, the developer and owner of global hotel brand, Radisson Blu Hotel in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Radisson Hotel Group is already in Zimbabwe, where it has partnered with listed property giant, WestProp, for the development of a Radisson Blu hotel and serviced apartments in Harare.
The project broke ground in May this year, in a sign of investor confidence in Zimbabwe’s economy, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Mr Nyaumwe said the project reflected Thaton Property’s vision to elevate Zimbabwe’s built environment through world-class construction and innovative design.
Located along ED Mnangagwa Road, the estate consists of eight apartment blocks, each equipped with solar-fed inverters to mitigate power outages.
The estate also includes a wide array of lifestyle amenities such as children’s play areas, a community gym, braai and entertainment spaces, a tennis court, mini-golf course, steam rooms, and a swimming pool, all within a secure and tranquil environment.
It is also located close to top private schools, medical facilities, shopping malls, and popular dining destinations and has attracted strong interest, particularly from the diaspora community.
Speaking in an interview with The Herald Finance and Business, Mr Nyaumwe said he intended to bridge the gap in high-end residential developments in the country.
“I stayed in the diaspora and acquired experience and knowledge about the modern and evolving trends in apartment and housing constructions.
“Our goal is to fill the gap in luxury lifestyle housing in Zimbabwe by developing sustainable, high-quality residences that meet international standards.
“After building five-star hotels and numerous other world-renowned residential developments, I saw a gap in Zimbabwe’s property market when I came back. That was the brainchild of 2 267 Lifestyle estate, where we have managed to construct using a lot of imported traditions relevant to the current demands in property developments,” said Mr Nyaumwe.
Mr Nyaumwe expressed his zeal to see the Zimbabwe property sector rise to become recognised on a global scale.
“We want the people here to be able to live in quality space and make Zimbabwe recognised on a global stage for achieving excellence in residential development,” he said.
The 2 267 Lifestyle Estate recently received three international property awards at the 2025/2026 International Property Awards held at the House of Lords in the United Kingdom.
It was recognised in the categories of “Best Residential Development” (20+ units), “Best Architecture for Multiple Residences,” and “Best Apartment/Condominium Development Project in Zimbabwe”.
Additionally, the project won the “Property Development Excellence Platinum Award” from the Zimbabwe CEO Network.
The 2267 Lifestyle Estate combines luxury and convenience, offering a range of one and two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom garden units, and premium three-bedroom lofts.
Each apartment comes fully furnished with a fitted stove, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioner, and refrigerator.
The units are fitted with double-glazed windows designed to minimise heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, while also improving sound insulation.
